5 Steps to create a successful Master's Thesis 

What 5 things should you be doing when you want to write a successful Master’s thesis? These five steps are all that you must take to create your thesis and earn the approval of the instructor and a good grade to mark on your academic record. Here are the 5 steps in writing your paper.

  1. Starting Out
  2. The first step in a successful Master’s thesis starts with having ample workspace to conduct research. It should be a quite area without distractions such as the TV or telephone. Be sure that you are focusing your attention on your thesis and have the study materials needed available and at hand.

  3. Write an Introduction
  4. A good thesis introduction is a must. It could be the only chance that you have to attract the reader your way. The introduction should contain facts and be interesting enough to entice the reader to continue reading your paper. Your introduction should be no more than one page in length.

  5. The Meat of the Matter
  6. After the introduction is the ‘meat’ of the paper and this is where you will put all of the important data and information concerning your topic. You should state the problem, as well as the steps taken to conclude the assertions that you’ve made in your report. Argue your question with all points taken into consideration. List two or three different aspects that you want to talk about and create a separate paragraph for each of these topics. Go into detail and ensure the reader has all of the information they need on the mater.

  7. Conclusion
  8. A good conclusion is just as important as a good introduction so do not lose focus when you’re nearing the end of the project. The conclusion should be used to recap all of the main points you’ve outlined in the thesis, but never in the same manner. Your conclusion should be one paragraph in length and no more than one double spaced page.

  9. References & Appendices
  10. Any and all references and sources that have been used to gather details for your paper should be the final pieces of information found on the paper. It is important that all sources be cited, so make sure that you are leaving none of them out. This not only gives your paper more credibility it also helps keep you protected from copyright and other concerns.
